Thank you for considering The Rufford Arms Hotel as a venue for hosting your perfect wedding reception. This wedding package is an outline of all the things you can expect to make your day a memorable one. We offer exclusive use of the hotel and all its rooms, meaning you will not have to share your special day with anyone else other than your personal guests.
The recently refurbished, fully air-conditioned restaurant lends itself perfectly to a wedding breakfast, and then later to your evening reception. With more than adequate bar facilities, you can be assured that you and your guests will certainly make it a night to remember. The package is inclusive of everything you need to host the perfect wedding.
We offer an experienced and professional management team who will coordinate your wedding and also act as toastmaster to ensure your day runs smoothly.
There is a choice of arrival drinks for you and your guests:

If you would prefer a more bespoke arrival drink, such as a cocktail, or glass of champagne, we can provide this at a small additional charge.
Within the wedding package is choice of 3 canapés for your guests to savour whilst relaxing before the wedding breakfast begins;

Should you wish to offer your guests a wider range of canapés, it is possible at a small additional charge
Included is your wedding breakfast, with one choice for starter & main course (not including vegetarian option) and two choices for dessert from the menu:

We will be happy to discuss colour schemes and help with choosing the right sashes to match your day.
A long and low top table centrepiece is also supplied by The Rufford Arms Hotel, to add a little extra sparkle to your wedding breakfast. The arrangement is composed of either ivory and green flowers, or seasonal flowers that will complement the colour scheme of your wedding. Should you wish to dress the other tables at the breakfast with flowers or to order matching bouquets, buttonholes or corsages, we will be happy to discuss options and put you in touch with our florist to ensure that everything comes together perfectly.
As your special day progresses and you enter into the evening, we are again fully equipped to help you make it a night that you won’t forget. Included in the price of the package is evening entertainment, coming in the form of a DJ. From here on, the DJ is in control, guiding your night with song and helping set the tone for your first dance and cutting of the cake. However, should you wish to have a live band or ceilidh band, we would be more than happy to give you alternatives offered by our suppliers (at an additional cost). We are also happy to supply dance floors, uplighters as well as other touches to help make your night that extra bit special. Please contact us for details of these additional touches (price on application).
When your night has come to an end, you will be relieved to find all the bedrooms are reserved for you and your guests. We ask that you provide us with a rooming list for your guests, to ensure that specific needs are met. The cost of the rooms and breakfast in the morning is also included in the price of the package. We have 9 double rooms, 2 family rooms (both can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children) and 3 twin rooms, including ground floor rooms for guests who have trouble with mobility. A separate form is attached to help you determine which rooms to give to your guests.
Although we are not licensed to hold marriage ceremonies at The Rufford Arms Hotel, we are lucky enough to be in close proximity to several venues which can help you tie the knot. Within a few miles of the hotel you can find St Mary’s Church, rebuilt in the 18th and 19th Centuries, Rufford Old Hall, a National Trust Property licensed to carry out civil ceremonies in its Great Hall – once stage to William Shakespeare, and many other churches of varying denominations.
The total price for the exclusive use of Alexander’s Brasserie and the Rufford Arms Hotel is £4,499.00.
This Package can also be transferred to a Saturday,
with a supplement of £1000
To add a little extra something to your wedding breakfast we have listed below some additional options that you may wish to offer your guests:
Cocktail arrival drinks are available from £6.50 (or £3.50 per person to upgrade), and champagne from £5.95 (£1.95 per person to upgrade). We are also happy to provide your guests with a second arrival drink of any of those listed above, prices available upon request.

Additional wine upgrades are also available. We can offer your guests a further glass of wine for £3.75 per person, or replace wine with bottled beers or alcohol free drinks. Should you have a favourite family wine, we will try our best to source it for you, and the appropriate price will be added. You are welcome to select other wines from our menu, and the upgrade price can be given to you upon request.
Should you wish to offer your guests something a little special in the evening, we can offer additional extras. We can provide a sweet table, comprising all your favourite sweeties and more for your evening guests to enjoy as your evening gathers momentum. If you prefer, we can also supply a cheese trolley with local and continental cheeses, crackers, grapes and chutneys for your guests to enjoy with the evening buffet. Should you require prices or have any further requests, such as chocolate fountains, candy floss machines, ice-cream stalls, please ask for details. We can also source dance floor, room-uplighters and even children’s entertainers, just ask one of the management team for prices.
We are also able to provide an evening spit roast for your evening buffet. Presented as a whole pig or lamb, slowly roasted on site; our chef will carve meat for sandwiches, together with a selection of fresh salads. A supplement of £250 for 100 guests would be payable should you wish to offer this instead of your evening buffet.
After the price of your wedding has been finalised, we can start to draw up contracts for you. The contract is binding and is a way of protecting the interests of both parties. We have also tried to come up with a payment scheme that will suit your needs in the run up to the big day. Once the finalised cost is set, we ask for a £500 non-refundable deposit to secure the date for your wedding reception. From there we will meet with you on a regular basis to answer any further questions that may arise or amend the details of your special day. We require that 50% of your wedding is paid 3 months prior to the date of the event, and that the wedding balance is settled 3 weeks before your booking. In instances where the booking is made for a date within 3 months, we are happy to discuss a payment schedule that suits you.
The maximum number we can hold at The Rufford Arms Hotel are as follows:
Should you wish to increase the number of your guests for your wedding breakfast and reception, there will be an additional charge of £50 per guest. For additional evening guests, there is an additional charge of £15 per guest. Children are charged at half price the adult cost.
We ask for a £500 non-refundable deposit, require 50% payment 3 months prior to your booked date and full payment 3 weeks before the event. The bridal allocation form must be completed and reach us within 10 days of your event.
